Stump Bandaging Simulators
The Stump Bandaging Simulators allow for most standard bandaging procedures to be practiced or demonstrated either on upper or lower stumps. Simulators are supplied individually boxed.
Lower Body Stump Dressings
The Lower Body Bandaging Simulator features one amputated limb below the knee and one at mid-thigh level:
- Allows carrying the bandage around the body over the uninvolved hip at iliac crest level (There is no embedded, palpable skeletal material)
- Ideal for demonstrating the attachment of prosthetic devices
- Representative of a prone patient with legs slightly abducted
Upper Body Stump Dressings
The Upper Body Bandaging Simulator features one arm amputated below the elbow and one above the wrist:
- Ideal for demonstrating the attachment of prosthetic devices
- Both arms are slightly extended in a “patient-like” position to facilitate bandaging
- Compressibility of material very closely duplicates actual experience with a patient
