Mobile Base for the Special Tomato Soft-Touch Sitter

The Special Tomato Soft-Touch Sitter provides supportive and comfortable seating for individuals with special needs and mild to moderate postural needs, and due to its versatility it can be used in a wide range of situations. The Mobile Base is a specifically designed surface on which the Special Tomato Soft-Touch Sitter can be positioned, allowing the Soft-Touch Sitter to be used in situations where a standard chair for strapping the Soft-Touch Sitter to is not available, or in cases where the child would prefer to be closer to the floor.

The Mobile Base is similar in design to the Stationary Base, with the addition of four castors. These wheels allow the Soft-Touch Sitter to be manoeuvred more easily around the room or to a new location.

Secure Design

Combining comfort and safety, the Soft-Touch Sitter is secured to the Mobile Base easily with several attachment straps, and remains securely in place until it is removed. The secure wooden frame of the Mobile Base is incredibly sturdy, and is able to withstand the same amount of weight as the Sitter.

Comfortable Support

When used with the Mobile Base, the sitter can be positioned at a 25° tilt to ensure the user can sit in a comfortable position. It is also an ideal choice for providing assurance of safety to children who prefer to be seated more closely to the ground.

Wheeled Design

Offering all of the benefits of the Stationary Base but with added castors, the Mobile Base is ideal for increasing both practicality and versatility of the Soft-Touch Sitter. The attached castors enable the base and sitter to be wheeled from one room to another, eliminating the need for the child to be disturbed, and also making it easier to transport the aid around the building, whether at home, in a school, or in a care environment.
