What Procedures Can I Practice with This Suture Kit?

This Life/Form Suture Kit allows the user to make incisions and determine the depth of suturing and the technique to be used such as:

• Tying knots
• Stapling
• Placement of staples
• Suturing deep tissue
• Suturing subcutaneous tissue (placement and closure)
• Use of surgical glue

How Many Cuts Can I Make on the Suture Pad?

With this Suture Kit, you can make cuts with a sharp scalpel at your desired depth anywhere on the suture pad. Each cut can be repeatedly sutured until the skin at any one site becomes so heavily perforated that it will no longer support more suturing.

How Do I Clean the Manikin?

To clean the Suture Kit between use, you can wash the manikin using a mild soap and warm water.

Care and Maintenance of the Suture Kit

• Do not use povidone-iodine prep solutions. These solutions will indelibly stain the suture pad
• When not in continuous use, we recommend that you store the simulator in its designated storage bag
