What Can I Expect from Using the CryoClear Pen?

The CryoClear Pen is designed to be exceptionally safe to use by most people, and works by spraying carbon dioxide onto the skin, which freezes superficially at -79°C where only the epidermal layers are treated. In as little as one treatment, CryoClear can treat indications such as skin tags, age spots and sun spots even on sensitive areas like the hands, face and neck.

How Long Does the CryoClear Last?

The CryoClear device will last for 240 – 300 seconds. The gas canister cannot be replaced as the device is disposable. Once empty the whole device should be thrown away.

How Does Cryotherapy Work?

Cryotherapy includes treating the skin with extremely cold temperatures, most often using dry ice called carbon dioxide, to remove skin tags and dark spots. CryoClear is administered on any given indication for no longer than five seconds at a time.

As shown in the diagram above, the ice ball that forms within the epidermis doesn’t penetrate into the true skin of the dermis which contains blood vessels, lymph vessels, hair follicles and glands that produce sweat. This makes the Pen the perfect solution for treating superficial indications.

How Long Will It Take To See Results?

Right after the procedure, the treated area will turn darker and you might experience some tingling or itching for a few hours afterwards. The treated area will remain dark for about ten days, when your body will slough off the dead tissue. Next you will observe pink, healthy skin tissue which will return to your normal skin colour in only a few weeks. In some cases it can take four to six weeks for normal pigmentation to return.
