Sturdy and Comfortable

This chair was manufactured with comfort and safety in mind, made with seamless and contoured upholstery, and using flame-retardant vinyl. As well as this, the chair features moulded drop-down arm rests to allow side access for patients and helpers. Sliding rubber footrests aid patient access and also support the feet during transit.

Efficient and Intuitive

Designed for patients up to 380kg in weight, there isn’t much this chair can’t handle. With two hooks for patient belongings, an x-ray/notes pocket in the rear of the seat, and fittings to accept IV poles, efficiency and ease of use were well and truly considered during the design of this chair.

Safe Design

The Bristol Maid Bariatric Portering Chair is fitted with a retractable diagonal seatbelt to ensure patient safety during transfer. Also featuring 200mm fixed wheels with 200mm total-stop braking cushioned castors, this is one of the safest bariatric chairs around.

It is recommended that two members of staff are in attendance when using this chair with patients in excess of 190kg. This will help to ensure patient and staff safety.
