BeneCast Advanced Casting Tape
Simple fractures and breaks can often be stabilised without the need to put the patient’s wrist in a cast. The BeneCast Advanced Casting Tape provides rigid casting for primary and secondary casting applications where patient fit, comfort and breathability are crucial, proving suitable for injuries such as fractures, inflammation, overuse, swelling and soft tissue injury.
What Can I Use the BeneCast Casting Tape For?
The BeneCast Casting Tape is suitable for many types of injury, ranging from breaks and fractures to overuse injuries and general swelling. By preventing movement in the area that the tape is located and protecting the area for further impact, the injury is given time to recover and heal. Types of suitable injuries include:
- Acute injury
- F.R.C. fracture stabilisation
- General weakness
- Inflamed/swollen tendons
- Injury prevention
- Overuse injuries
- Soft tissue injury
- Swelling and oedema
How Comfortable Is the Casting Tape?
The Casting Tape provides rigid casting for primary and secondary casting applications, while ensuring optimal fit, comfort and breathability. The tape also features a unique, four-dimensional stretch, which ensures an easy fit and again increases comfort. This means that while the tape is in place, the tape will contour to the user’s body, helping to reduce discomfort and the sensation of the tape on their skin.
How Effective Is the BeneCast Casting Tape?
This tape is perfect for use when a cast isn’t required, with high tack resin providing excellent lamination after just a short application time. Once set, it will provide stability and immobilisation to the injured area, while protecting it from further injuries. The Casting Tape is so effective that it is recommended for injured horse hooves, animal breakages and fractures.
